Fix: Amazon Fire TV Stick-specific causes of buffering
Fix Amazon Fire TV Stick-specific causes of buffering. Work through the checks in order — each one tells you whether to stop or move to the next. Most cases are the connection between your device and the internet, the stream quality, or server load at a busy time.
Fast checks, in order
- Start hereSwitch the device from Wi-Fi to wired Ethernet.→ Issue stops or drops sharply → it was Wi-Fi. If not, continue.
- Lower the stream from 4K/FHD to HD, or pick the HD version of the channel.→ Smooths out → your line cannot sustain the bitrate. If not, continue.
- Raise the player buffer to 10–30 seconds.→ Constant loading stops on an otherwise-OK line. If not, continue.
- Speed-test on the same device at the same time; note down/up/jitter.→ Well below HD needs → fix the ISP/router. If fine, continue.
- Try the same channel 30–60 min later, or another channel now.→ Only one channel / only peak time → server load. Contact support with the channel and time.
