M3U and Xtream Codes are two ways to load the same IPTV service into a player. An M3U link is one long URL containing the whole playlist.
M3U and Xtream Codes are two ways to load the same IPTV service into a player. An M3U link is one long URL containing the whole playlist. Xtream Codes is a server URL plus a username and password. If a provider gives you both, Xtream Codes is usually the better choice.

Use Xtream Codes if you have a server URL, username and password — you get a tidier layout and a working guide. Use the M3U URL if that is all you were given. Setup steps for each are linked below.
